The Race is Heating Up in the Readers Choice Awards!

Thousands of Travel Agents, Agency administrative staff and Managers from across the country have cast their ballot for their favourite suppliers in the inaugural Readers Choice Awards, and the race for number one spot is really heating up.

Those who participate will automatically have their name entered into a draw to win one of several prizes which are up for grabs, ranging from the all new series 3 Apple Watch, Amazon gift Cards, to a good old Timmies gift card, worth enough for a coffee and muffin. Odds of winning are pegged at one in ten.

In categories such as Best Reservations Department, Tour Operator of the Year, River Cruise Line of the Year, and Travel Person of the Year, the top 2 or 3 spots are separated only by a few votes.

“We are really pleased with the support we have seen across the entire trade for our inaugural event,” said John Kirk President, Editor in Chief for Travel Pulse Canada. “The volume of voting reinforces our position that the travel trade in general, but particularly Travel Agents, love our fresh, uncluttered, innovative style of delivering the news," added Kirk.

The event is sponsored in part by Transat as title sponsor, ACTA, Sunwing, TravelBrands, Manulife Insurance, and the Jamaica Tourist Board. Agent are encourage to get their votes in as voting closes on May 9th, 2018.

Winners will be announced at the Readers Choice Awards gala event being held on May 17th at the Steam Whistle event space in Toronto, featuring entertainment by Canadian Comedian, Mr. Ron James.
