Why I Love Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta

Have you heard of “No-trip-phobia?” It’s the fear of not having any trips planned. I suffer from this condition big-time. I love having a vacation to look forward to, especially now that fall is here and summer is becoming a distant memory.
Luckily, I do have a trip planned. In 49 days (yes, the countdown has started), I’ll be returning to the Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta. I’ve been to this beachfront all-inclusive resort many times and can say firsthand it is a wonderful piece of paradise.
I think one of the things I love most about the Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta is the location. It’s situated just 5-10 minutes south of downtown Puerto Vallarta. I love that it’s only a $6 taxi into town if I want to go shopping, do some sightseeing or go for an evening walk on the Malecón (oceanfront esplanade). Or, if I don’t feel like spending $6, a local bus is another option.
Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta is located on a stunningly secluded (and swimmable) beach. I’ve actually heard people say that it’s one of the nicest beaches in the entire region, and I can’t disagree. No other hotels share the beach, so it’s like I have my own private area.
All the rooms and suites at Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta are ocean-facing, and none of the rooms face the back of the hotel. I love being able to enjoy seeing and hearing the ocean from my room. The rooms themselves are beautiful and modern, and I always sleep great when I’m there. The beds are so comfortable, and I love the quality of the pillows and linens.
Every room has free Wi-Fi and a stocked mini-fridge with beer, soda, water and juice that is included. Also included is the 24-hour room service. Often, I will order room service for breakfast and sit out on my balcony and enjoy the view of the ocean—what a great way to start the day!
I really love that the resort doesn’t require any reservations for the several à la carte restaurants at the resort. How nice not having to worry about when or where I want to have dinner? I can just go to whichever restaurant I want at whatever time I want.
I think my favourite place for dinner is Blaze. It’s a Brazilian open-air restaurant overlooking the ocean and is the perfect spot to enjoy a fabulous meal and watch the world-famous Puerto Vallarta sunsets. Another restaurant I love is Casa Grande, which has the best authentic Mexican food. The tortilla soup is amazing, by the way.
Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta boasts the largest hotel spa in Puerto Vallarta, and it is gorgeous. I’m not even really a spa-guy, but I always book at least one treatment while I’m there just so I can enjoy the beautiful hydrotherapy area that overlooks the ocean.
Actually, quite often I’ll book the spa on my last day, especially if I have a later flight. Instead of requesting late check-out I’ll go to the spa because I will also have use of the spa showers and lockers. It’s such a great way to end the trip and is really a nice treat before heading to the airport.
Something else that I love about Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta is the unmatched service I always receive. It’s called “Service from the Heart,” and it is something that comes across as heartfelt and sincere. I feel like everyone is genuinely invested in making my stay the best possible experience, and I always feel so pampered and well looked after. The people really make all the difference.
So, if you’re like me and suffer from No-trip-phobia, there is a cure. You need some Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta in your life. It is a perfect piece of paradise. Maybe I’ll see you there?
