Top 4 Instagram-Worthy Spots in Barbados

Whether they are friends or foes, make your IG-followers envious of all the fun you’ll have on your next Barbados vacation. Though small, this 166 square mile island has incredibly scenic spots to take the ultimate Instagram photo. Here are four picks to explore the destination and enjoy your tropical getaway:
Cherry Tree Hill
Rolling hills and unparalleled beauty of the Atlantic coast...not your usual understanding of Barbados. Cherry Tree Hill is a destination that showcases the “other side” of Barbados not typically known to travellers looking to explore the tranquil Caribbean Sea.
Instead, visitors should take the opportunity to see the lesser-known northeastern coastline and relish in the scenic side of Cherry Tree Hill, part of the St. Nicholas Abbey plantation. Approximately 850 feet above sea-level, this spot offers an excellent view of the "Scotland District" which covers the parish of St. Andrew and is named after the Patron Saint of Scotland.

Bathsheba
Known for its rock formations, and widely regarded as one of the best surfing spots in the Caribbean, Bathsheba is in the rugged eastern parish of St. Joseph. Wild and picturesque, Bathsheba beach is scattered with large coral boulders that broke away from ancient coral reefs thousands of years ago.
The shore is lined with local rum shops, beachside cottages and restaurants, and you’re likely to find multi-coloured fishing boats coming in and out of the bay, as well as cute green monkeys looking to steal away a freshly caught fish or two.
Carlisle Bay Pier
Located close to UNESCO heritage site Bridgetown, Carlisle Bay provides a beautiful beach backdrop, showcasing Barbados’ turquoise blue waters and white sand beaches. Not only is it the perfect spot for swimming, but its pier also serves as a stylistic photo opportunity waiting to be shown off on your friends’ timelines.
Whether sunrise or sunset, this beautiful view includes a great backdrop of the ships in the bay and has an endless amount of aquatic adventure including water slides, trampolines, comfy beach chairs and more.
Animal Flower Cave
The name Animal Flower Cave comes from the sea anemones found in the pools of the cave. Today, you can discover this small oasis located in the most northerly point of Barbados in St. Lucy. It offers stunning views of the northern coast of Barbados where huge Atlantic waves crash against the cliffs.
To really stun your followers, be sure to visit for spectacular whale watching, head deep into the cave and try swimming in natural rock pools or take the most romantic silhouette for that new IG post!
