My Top 5 Luxury Ski Vacations

I love to ski. There is nothing quite like the adrenaline you get from gliding down those slopes. For me, like many people, hitting the slopes with a fresh coat of powder is a little slice of heaven. There are so many wonderful ski destinations around the world, and so many fantastic places to test your skills. Below I have included my top five picks for your next ski vacation. These are sure to throw you whether you are a season black diamond skier or a newbie who always looks for the nearest bunny slope.
Alpenpalace
This deluxe hotel and spa resort is located in South Tyrol, Italy. Alpenpalace is known for its wellness and relaxation spa that is necessary after a hard day of skiing. Views from the resort are absolutely amazing, from the manicured grounds complete with marble fountains to the nicely appointed rooms that will make you feel like royalty. Their meals are not mediocre either. In fact, they are known for their wine and formal entrées that always leave you satisfied, yet wanting to try the next meal. Tucked in a beautiful valley, you are sure to enjoy everything that Alpenpalace has to offer.
Arabella at Vail Square
Come to Ville Colorado to visit this rock resort wonder. Styled after the old European buildings, this resort exudes such charming romance that you will probably not want to leave. Ville and its alpine heritage are world-renowned and as such this hotel does not disappoint. Extremely plush rooms with leather benches at the foot of the bed, and the nice reading room set up by the window, evoke a timeless feel. There is never a lack of scenery as every window looks out over the beautiful mountainside dotted with pine trees and covered with snow. Be sure to visit their spa as it is known to be one of the best in the world, and of course, their food is absolutely amazing.
Badrutt's Palace
This five-star luxury resort hotel certainly lives up to its namesake. Located in St. Moritz, Switzerland, this gem has a lot to offer. Known for its discrete service and elegant furnishings, you will feel like you have been pampered in the lap of luxury by the time you leave. Be sure to see their 1968 Rolls-Royce Phantom while you were there. The British Family originally owned this fine automobile. Also, be sure to visit their spa, they are known for giving some of the best massages you have ever had.
Blanket Bay
Blanket Bay is located in Queenstown, South Island, New Zealand and unique in that it is flanked by national parks. This is high country scenery at its finest. Incredibly rugged mountains, rivers fed by glaciers, and forests full of ancient beech trees create a postcard-like scene. This five-star luxury resort is grand in an altogether different sort of way. Featuring exposed beams, lofty ceilings, and lodge type furnishings, you are sure to feel cozy and warm on the coldest of nights.
Four Seasons Resort
This location has the distinct privilege of being Whistler’s only five-star luxury resort. Others may come close, but this Canadian jewel outshines them all. The property is located in the Upper Village and certainly has a lot to offer. From the outdoor free-form pool to the spa that is equipped with 15 different treatment rooms, you are sure to feel relaxed during your stay. This is an all-around world-class resort that will certainly complement your time on the slopes!
I don’t know about you but I want to visit them all! With so many great options, it might just be easier for you at this point to start at the top and work your way down the list. You could visit one resort each holiday and repeat them for the rest of your life without getting tired. These places are some of the best ski resorts in the world. One visit, and you will be hooked!
