5 Reasons to Visit Cancun

Cancun draws visitors with its beautiful beaches and stunning hotels, but there is more to the destination than just a resort stay.
Visitors can explore Cancun’s vibrant nightlife, public beaches, shopping centers and more when they travel to the Mexican resort town.
Here are a few reasons to vacation in Cancun:
Coco Bongo
This famous establishment in the heart of Cancun’s Hotel Zone is the epicenter of the city’s nightlife. Travelers flock to the show and disco nightly for music and entertainment.
Save a Sea Turtle
Many of the hotels in the hotel zone offer guests the chance to help the sea turtles with a turtle release program. Kids and adults alike learn about the plight of the sea turtles, their nesting habits and their struggle to survive. Then guests can take baby sea turtles to the ocean and set them free.
Cancun Underwater Museum
The Museo Subacuatico de Arte or MUSA was opened in 2010 and offers a variety of tours for visitors. Guests can explore the galleries via glass-bottom boat or underwater scuba dives that include opportunities for beginners and non-certified guests.
Playa Marlin
Located close to the Kukulcan Plaza shopping mall, Playa Marlin is the ideal white-sand beach. Open to the public, it is the perfect spot for a beach day if your hotel isn’t located on the water.
Guests can rent umbrellas and beach chairs and other supplies. The water can sometimes be rough but is perfect for watersports such as parasailing.
Avenida Kukulkan
Explore Avenida Kukulcan, the main artery of the city that is lined with shops and restaurants and stretches from the Hotel Zone through Downtown Cancun. It’s also an ideal place for a run or walk to get some exercise beyond the hotel fitness center.
