5 Luxurious Things To Do in Bangkok

This lively metropolis started out as a trading post in the 15th century and served as the capitol twice under different names in the 1700s. It has kept growing to the point that modern Bangkok was recently named one of the world’s top cities by "Travel & Leisure" magazine.
With temperatures averaging between 70 and 90 degrees year round, it is no surprise that the city is a popular Thailand travel destination. As Bangkok comprises over 50 different districts, there is naturally plenty for visitors to do and see in this town. Here is a list of some of our favorite luxury activities to check out while visiting.
The Escape Hunt Experience, Bangkok
For those who enjoy historical themed murder mysteries being in one from a detective’s point-of-view is sure to prove an entertaining activity. This puzzle-based game takes between one and two hours to complete and is a lot of fun for groups that happen to be in the city. The objective is to catch the criminal before one’s time runs out.
English-speaking mysteries are offered, and participants can get hints when they need them from the helpful staff. As it is located in an air conditioned building, the Escape Hunt provides travelers with a quick break from the outdoor heat. This event can be found near the Citibank Tower.
Temple of Dawn
Travelers should visit at either sunset or sunrise to enjoy the best views, because the temple’s exterior is outfitted with light-catching mosaic tiles. The building is quite scenic after dark as well. Those coming to this location should be aware that the temple stairs are quite steep, but still manageable. Excellent views of the nearby city and river are provided from the top, but getting down again can be a bit challenging for those who are unnerved by heights.
Admission costs around 50 baht for non-locals. Those coming to this location should use the same river ferries that the locals do in order to avoid any extraneous charges.
Su Esthetic Home Spa
Good instructions on how to get to this tidy boutique spa can be found on their website, and the services go from there. One of the staff members speaks English so those that don’t know Thai can still have a relaxing experience. The rest of the staff are professional and friendly as well. Treatments at Su Esthetic are well worth the money spent and a variety of massages and facials are on the menu.
Lambert Gems
Having received many accolades as a premier jewelry shop, this establishment can deftly restore tarnished jewelry, or take the stones from old pieces in order to create something new. Lambert Gems offers highly professional service, but the purveyors are also incredibly friendly and passionate about their products. Though there are definitely some pre-made pieces available for purchase, this business specializes in custom-designed jewelry, and their shop is supplied accordingly.
Sensi Restaurant
This late night venue serves up Mediterranean cuisine in the heart of Bangkok. Excellent service and superb food combine for a wonderful evening. Guests are often welcomed with a complimentary glass of Prosecco. The duck salad and steaks are recommended at this location. However, restaurant patrons may opt to instead have the chef’s tasting menu, which is quite delicious and well-presented.
The fare of the day is not entirely set, as customer requests are accommodated. The reasonably priced wine offerings at this eatery will also help round out one’s dinner.
