TravelBrands Takes Agents on Florida FAM

TravelBrands, a leader in the Canadian travel industry, has shown agents its appreciation again by hosting another FAM trip. The FAM was hosted in partnership with Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau and Royal Caribbean International from October 18 to October 21, 2019.
The FAM consisted of 40 travel agents. The group toured the Greater Fort Lauderdale area as well as two Royal Caribbean International ships. The two ship inspections were aboard the Symphony of the Seas at the Port of Miami and the Adventure of the Seas at Port Everglades.
“This FAM was designed to highlight the Greater Fort Lauderdale area and Royal Caribbean International, who are both amazing partners of TravelBrands,” says Shannon Smith, director of sales in Ontario, TravelBrands. “We wanted to educate agents on offering their clients more options for pre and post cruising. Plus, experiencing the cruise terminals and touring two beautiful ships was a highlight amongst the agents.”
Participants of TravelBrands’ FAM also enjoyed the Hollywood Mural Tour. It features over two dozen curated contemporary outdoor murals at key locations in the heart of downtown Hollywood. The murals enrich the existing cultural fabric of the community and complement the nearby restaurants, cafes and shops. The group got to engage with working muralists and discuss their artistic styles and interests.
The travel agents also toured the Everglades. Gliding across miles of river at speeds up to 40mph, the group got up close and personal to native wildlife and habitats. Over 100 reptiles and mammals were featured. Local cuisine such as gator bites were available to the group as well.
