TL Network Welcomes 53 New Agencies in Canada

TL Network Canada, or the group formerly known as Vacation.com, is celebrating the addition of 53 new members since the end of 2015. The TL Network includes nearly 7,000 associate and member travel agency locations in Canada and the United States, accounting for more than one-third of North America’s leading travel agencies. Collectively, they sell report more than CDN $22 billion in annual sales volume throughout North America.
In Canada, the group welcomed 41 new member agencies in 2016 and has also seen the addition of 12 new member agencies during the first month of 2017. Vice President Christine James, attributes the growth to a targeted approach and the ongoing innovation of training enhancements.
“By creating unique value propositions for every agency, we continually demonstrate how TL Network’s enhanced commissions can positively impact their revenue,” said James. “The enormous value of a TL Network Canada membership is the key contributor to our prosperous membership growth. For Carlton Montaut, CEO of Mississauga’s Centre Holidays Inc., the advanced technology and networking opportunities available to members were a big consideration when joining TL Network Canada.

Travel consultant Cindy Hodge with Gill & Schmall Agencies in Manitoba cited the network’s booking engine as a motivating factor in joining.
“Since joining TL Network Canada, we now have a portfolio that offers more channels to book our clients with increased commissions, fantastic booking platforms and ongoing support from all the support staff in Canada,” said Hodge. “The hotel booking engines available to members have helped us close sales because the product is usually available for sale. That compares with other tour operators that are unable to confirm or don’t even sell it. For example, I checked all our tour operators for a property in Negril, Jamaica, and no one has it. So I’m now selling air only with WestJet and booking the hotel through pinSIGHT. I would not have had this amazing opportunity before joining TL Network Canada.”
