FCTG’s Independent Division Launches Incentive Trip & Canada/US Annual Conference

Flight Centre Travel Group’s Independent Division will host an inaugural Global Incentive trip, named “Independent Icons,” honouring the group’s top 50 independent travel advisors from around the world.
This event will follow in the footsteps of FCTG’s Global Gathering event that attracts the top 10% of all Flight Centre staff globally.
The Independent Division has partnered with Uniworld to completely take over the S.S. Beatrice, sailing along the Danube River from Budapest to Vienna from November 1-5, 2023.
FCTG’s Independent division includes Independent by Flight Centre in Canada and Independent by Liberty in the U.S. The group currently has over 1,700 independent travel agencies across Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the U.S., and South Africa.
As independent advisors are not employees of FCTG, this expanding faction of the business has decided to create an exclusive event to celebrate their achievements in a different way.
The top 10 advisors from each country will be invited to bring a guest and join a small group of key suppliers and global leaders for the reward trip. You can watch the reveal video here.
In addition to the launch of the first global incentive trip, the Independent Division in Canada, and the U.S. -- comprising 700+ advisors -- has also just announced its annual conference in Puna Cana, Dominican Republic. Themed as ‘A New Independent Era,’ the event will be hosted by Majestic Resorts in May 2023.

"I am thrilled to have the opportunity to meet and celebrate in person with our advisors and top achievers from across the globe,” said Anita Emilio, recently appointed as FCTG’s VP & GM Independent & Luxury brands, Canada.
“Our advisors, like us, know that connection and strong relationships are key components to scaling their businesses. By working with outstanding suppliers such as Uniworld and Majestic Resorts, they can achieve their growth goals.”
Danielle Galloway, Global Managing Director, FCTG Independent and Premium Divisions, stated: “This luxurious experience will give our top performing independent agents the opportunity to connect with a selection of key suppliers as well as other likeminded travel entrepreneurs.
“We are building a strong, global independent network and the reach of our community empowers our agents to expand their own professional networks and continue to thrive as independent business owners.”
