ACV Adds More Self-Serve Options To Reduce Waiting Time

Air Canada Vacations has announced more enhancements to its self-service tools, with the goal of making it easier for travel agents to assist their customers.
For the first time, travel agents can access reservations made online and in the call centre for bookings in Mexico, the Caribbean, Las Vegas, Hawaii, California and Orlando.
As well, future travel credits can now be applied as payment for all bookings made online for these destinations.
The improvements also include the ability to add a customer’s Aeroplan number to an existing reservation, as well as make special requests for traveller accommodations.
These extra tools, as well as those launched in late 2021, can be accessed through the ACV website and all external distribution channels, including Sirev, Galileo Vacations, and Sabre Vacations.
Travellers will now have the ability to access their reservations directly online and modify certain elements of their booking via the Manage Your Booking page at aircanadavacations.com.
To help travel agents get comfortable with its new enhancements, Air Canada Vacations is hosting a webinar for the trade on February 23 at 1:00-1:30 pm EST. Participants will be entered into a draw for a chance to win a $250 Future Travel Credit. Advisors can register here.
“We know the workload that comes with managing a reservation right now, so we’re looking for ways to help alleviate some of that pressure off our trade partners,” said Nino Montagnese, Vice President, Air Canada Vacations.
“To mitigate the volume of requests agencies are getting after hours, we’re making reservations more accessible to travellers,” Montagnese added.
“We’re always trying to do better for our industry, and all these new capabilities come from the feedback that the trade has given us.”
