Transat has announced the winners of the last edition of their Surprise Dates contest, which ran for the past 10 months. The November Surprise Date was November 14, the anniversary date of its inaugural flight in 1987 from Montreal to Acapulco.
Each of the following agents has won a trip for two, including Air Transat flights in economy class, and a one-week all-inclusive stay down south.
- Emily Vail of CAA Travel in Guelph, Ontario (Ontario-Atlantic region) has won a trip to Meliá Las Dunas resort in Cayo Santa Maria, Cuba
- Nicole Deibert of AMA Travel in Red Deer, Alberta (Western Canada region) has won a trip to the Meliá Peninsula Varadero in Cuba
- Véronique Thouin of Club Voyages Repentigny, in Repentigny, Quebec (Quebec-Ottawa region) has won a trip to the Meliá Jardines del Rey in Cayo Coco, Cuba
$30 in Bonbon rewards were also awarded, following a random draw among all participants, as follows; Ontario-Atlantic region: Karen Lippett of LatitudesPlus Smart Travel in Brooklin, Ontario, and Mary Jarvis of Flight Centre in Ancaster, Ontario. Western Canada region: Asia Wolfe of Flight Centre in Victoria, British Columbia, and Gloria Wiebe of Marlin Travel in Winkler, Manitoba. Quebec-Ottawa region: Danielle Cliche of Club Voyages Fascination in Sainte-Marie-de-Beauce, and Véronique Guy-Thomas of Voyages Jean-Pierre in Brossard
Transat has now given out 30 trips for two this year to mark its 30th anniversary, 10 from each of Transat’s three Canadian regions: Ontario-Atlantic, Western Canada and Quebec-Ottawa.
The draws were held on predetermined, but secret, surprise dates that marked milestones in Transat’s history. Contest entry was automatic as soon as a travel agent in Canada sold a Transat flight, package, or cruise on the special day.
