Senior Discovery Tours Adds New Itineraries

Serving more than 100 international destinations, Senior Discovery Tours, Canada’s largest handler of mature travellers has recently added several new itineraries to its catalogue.
The company creates its itineraries around a “stay-put” principle, where travellers check in to just one or two hotels for the entire itinerary so they can enjoy a more leisurely trip while also having the chance for more in-depth exploration of the regions they visit.

Austria 2-Centre Tour
With it’s snow -capped mountains, green meadows and alpine villages Austria is known for its scenic landscapes. Setting two distinct regions in Austria as a home base, the Austria 2-Centre tour explores the culture and traditions of five total countries, including the lakeside settings of Switzerland, the castles and chocolates of Germany, and the hideaway towns of Slovenia. British Cuisine and Culture

Highlights include a foodie walking tour in Cambridge, The Ultimate Gin Experience, a Welsh Food Safari, a Vintage Afternoon Tea Experience and visits to local markets. The 15-day tour departs Sept. 8, 2016; rates start from C$ 5,797 per person.
Cruising the Golden Land, Myanmar (Burma)
Enjoy a scenic and tranquil journey down the Irrawaddy River from Bagan to Mandalay and experience a way of life that has remained unchanged for centuries. Observe life along the river and explore local villages and temples. The 18-day tour departs Nov. 20, 2016; rates start from $8,997.
Romania and Hungary
With the increased interest in Central Europe, now is the right time to visit. The Romania and Hungary itinerary includes the forested region of Transylvania with its medieval towns, fortified churches and castles. Of course you’ll stop at Bran Castle, known as the birthplace of the Dracula legend.
