Rising Demand for Japan Leads to New Goway Offerings

Asia is booming right now, according to Goway.
The tour operator has reported that it's Asia division had a record-breaking 2016, and helping to fuel that growth in large part was an increase in travel to Japan.
“Japan is definitely hot,” said Diane Molzan, general manager of the division. “We anticipated a bumper year thanks to the soft performance of the yen and growing interest as a result of the pending Olympic games set for 2020, but even my crystal ball couldn’t have predicted the high demand for the country.”
In particular, says Goway, repeat customers to Japan are increasing, which has driven the Canadian company to innovate its Japan offerings to include more new programs for returning clients.
Goway’s 2017 Asia brochure, which will be available by mid-March, will include a line up of new programs that explore the nation beyond the most-popular destinations: Tokyo, Hakone & Kyoto.
For clients interested in Japan, Goway recommends looking out for specials that showcase lesser-known areas like the islands of Kyushu and Hokkaido. But travellers looking for new and usually can find plenty on Honshu. Japan’s main island.
The “Explore Japan” itinerary takes travellers to the cultural hotspot of Takayama or on an exploration of the newly opened Himeji castle.
Japan is so culturally different than North America, Goway has also introduced a number of experiences that allow travellers to really dive deep into the nation’s culture. From taking Ninja lessons to wearing a kimono to sitting ringside at a sumo tournament, Goway’s focus is on experiential programs.
Goway has a dedicated team of Asia-only specialists that can help clients craft a custom itinerary that will match their needs perfectly.
