New Chef-Driven Menus for Sunwing
Tour Operator Monica Poling October 21, 2016

Sunwing airlines, known for its onboard Champagne Service, is now upping the game when it comes to its onboard menus. The menu makeover comes courtesy of a new partnership with Food Network Canada Celebrity Chef, Lynn Crawford.
Don’t worry if you get confused, the new Sunwing Café on board menus don’t really resemble airplane food as our generation knows it. Instead, items like pizza and pasta have been elevated thanks to the inspiration of Chef Crawford.
And with the new partnership between Sunwing and the Food Network, the printed menus alone, designed to resemble the Food Network’s magazine, are worth perusing.
Among the new items, a honey Dijon peameal bacon on a Kaiser breakfast sandwich, which comes with onion marmalade and grainy mustard aioli. For lunch and dinner, take a look at the slow-cooked beef short ribs, which in this case are served with herb-roasted fingerling potatoes or opt for the baked pasta with roasted tomatoes, mozzarella and jalapeno jack cheese, lemon ricotta and tomato basil sauce.
Chef Lynn Crawford is known for her popular TV series Pitchin' In on Food Network Canada, where travels throughout North America to meet with farmers and fishermen. She’s been seen foraging for mushrooms in Oregon and reeling in a reluctant 70-pound halibut in British Columbia, but no matter where she ends up, Crawford keeps her eyes open for the freshest and tastiest ingredients.
