New Asia Tours with Goway Travel
Tour Operator Monica Poling April 01, 2016

In partnership with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the Hong Kong Tourism Board and Hong Kong Airlines, Goway has rolled out its 2016 Asia Planner, chock full of new travel options.
“We can’t afford to offer the same things year over year even though we’ve enjoyed much success with our current product portfolio,” said Diane Molzan, general manager of Goway Travel’s Asia division. “Our travellers come back to us repeatedly and often even to the same destinations so we push ourselves to offer new ideas, new hotels and new experiences as they come available to us.”
Changes and additions to Goway’s Asia programs include:
China Odyssey – Goway's most popular tour, the 14-day China Odyssey has been travelling to Beijing, Xian, Guilin and on to Shanghai via the Yangtze River for decades. In 2016, Goway has retooled the program to include an alternative to the Yangtze River. Now travellers can explore the city of Hangzhou, known for West Lake, which has inspired poets and artists for generations. Both itineraries are available starting from C$ 3,529.
Bhutan – With the increased popularity of Bhutan—it even made National Geographic’s list of best places to visit in 2016—Goway has added a new nine-day program to the Dragon Kingdom starting from C$ 4,730.
Myanmar—With plenty of new hotels to accommodate an increase in demand and a surge in popularity of cruises along the famed Irawaddy River, Myanmar is rapidly becoming the “it” destination in Asia. In 2016, Goway has added an eight-day cruise travelling between Mandalay and Bagan, starting from C$ 2,059.
Ananda Wellness Retreat—To accommodate the global demand for more health and wellness programs, Goway has added a program at the Ananda Wellness Retreat, which is located near the North India town of Rishikesh, famous for Ayurvedic treatments.
Ancient Kingdoms of Siam—This private nine-day program hits the rails to take in Northern Thailand and explore some of the region’s off-the-beaten-path attractions. Rates start from C$ 2,075.
Customized Japan – With the weakened Japanese Yen, Japan is seeing a rush of popularity with international visitors. Goway is rolling out a variety of independent travel programs, or travellers can create a custom itinerary. Goway has also become an official seller of Japan Rail passes, so guests can build an itinerary that includes accommodations and cross country transportation.
