Following Japan’s full reopening and dropping of Visa restrictions to visitors from the United States and Canada in October, Goway says it is ready to meet demand for travel there.
The tour operator says it has refurbished its Japanese travel packages and has up-to-date insight on the destination due to a team member visiting in mid-October.
Aren Bergstrom, Goway’s Head of Content & Communications, recently returned from a trip hosted by the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO). During his 6-day stay, he enjoyed hospitality at exclusive accommodations in Tokyo and on Shikoku and the islands of the Seto Inland Sea.
Bergstrom has provided Goway’s sales and product teams with updated information on the travel experience within Japan, as well as insight into some of the latest trends and traveller expectations within the nation.

“It was a delight to return to Japan and experience a taste of its wonders, which have been sorely missed throughout the pandemic,” says Bergstrom.
“Japan is capable of satisfying so many diverse traveller interests. Whether you’re looking to sample cutting edge haute cuisine, enjoy a restful stay amidst peaceful natural surroundings, or experience the excitement of some of the world’s biggest cities, you’ll find so much to fascinate you within its borders.”
In anticipation of Japan’s reopening, Goway refreshed its travel packages to Japan, with a renewed focus on traveller experiences that highlight the nation’s traditions, culture, and natural landscapes.
Goway says its 10-day Japan Zen & Wellness and 11-day Japan for Families packages are particularly representative of this renewed focus. The company has also launched additional luxury tours, including the 15-day Ultimate Japan, which includes deluxe hotels, ryokan stays, and private-guided experiences in Tokyo, Kanazawa, Kyoto, Hiroshima, and Osaka.
“We’re thrilled that Japan has fully reopened and to once again help our Globetrotters experience its cultural delights and natural wonders for themselves,” says Brittany Banks, Product Manager for Asia. “Japan is at the core of our travel products to Asia, and we expect it to be one of our most popular destinations in 2023 and beyond.”
Goway will showcase its wide variety of Japanese travel products at the Rediscover Japan Virtual Travel Expo on November 24.
During the event, Goway will present highlights from some of its over 20 fully customizable Japan travel packages, which include deluxe and private-guided experiences and combination tours featuring stays in Japan and South Korea.
