Goway Credits Travel Agents for Successful 2016

Goway is having a pretty good year. In fact, says the wholesaler, it is heading into 2017 in its “best shape ever.”
And to what does Goway attribute its success? Sure, the company had technology updates and it launched a “very successful” new Europe program. But none of the company’s success would have been possible without its travel agent partners.
“We think of our agents as part of the Goway family,” said Bruce Hodge, company founder. “We humbly appreciate that none of our success would be possible without them. Goway has been supporting our partners since our launch back in 1970, even after many of our competitors chose to favour a more B to C route. To this day, we do not collect passenger data from our trade partners. We have every intention to continue delivering exceptional service whilst putting our partners first.”
And according to a customer feedback survey, travel agents are pretty happy with Goway as well. According to the survey, agents awarded Goway a 97 per cent satisfaction rating and a 97 per cent referral factor. Customer service, expert knowledge and a wide range of product offerings rank among the top three reasons agents continue to work with Goway.
In April, Goway launched a new travel agent program, passport to a free FAM, which gives agents the chance to earn a slot on any available FAM trip. To earn their spot, travel agents simply need to make a booking in each region Goway sells (Africa, Asia, Australia/New Zealand, South America, Europe and Idyllic Islands.) A group booking acts as a wildcard “stamp.”

Although Goway tends to be recognized as a specialist in Downunder travel, the passport to a free FAM promotion helps emphasize to agents that Goway offers itineraries around the world.
In 2016, Goway also introduced its first-ever Europe programs. Although group travel to Europe is fairly popular, Goway, which creates tailor-made travel solutions, offered its own spin on the destination this year. The wholesaler offers more than 500 travel ideas in Europe and is planning to expand its Europe product line in 2017 to meet demand.
