Globus Offers Up a Record 62 Italian Itineraries
Tour Operator Globus family of brands Jim Byers February 13, 2018

From tried and true favourites in Rome and Tuscany to lesser-known treasures in Apulia, the folks at Globus have travel agents covered for Italy with a whopping 62 itineraries; their largest number ever.
Whether your clients are looking for an independent or a guided tour to Italy, chances are the Globus family of brands (Globus, Cosmos and Monograms) will have something that fits their needs. .
Globus alone has 15 escorted itineraries to Italy, from seven to 15 days. These include the new “Hidden Treasures of Southern Italy and The Sicilian.” Value brand Cosmos – a great option for the client who’s on a budget or who wants the security of an escorted tour with more free time – has 11 tours, including new ones to “Apulia, the Heel of Italy and Rome, Florence & Venice.” Its new “Gourmet Tuscany,” based for eight days in a hotel in Montecatini with food-flavoured day trips, is proving so popular it’s almost sold out. Of course, who doesn’t love Italian food?
For clients who prefer to travel independently, but with all the anxiety removed, there’s Monograms. Every vacation includes accommodation, ground transportation by first class rail, meet and greet and send-off service at the airport and at rail stations, a half-day of sightseeing in each city and the services of a local host. Monograms has ten Italian itineraries, from seven to 16 days. Its most complex tour takes clients to Sorrento, Rome, Florence, Venice and the mountains and lakes of Lake Maggiore – a potential nightmare for a travel agent to research, but available with just one call or click from Monograms.
This year Monograms has extended its City Getaway programs to Italy. Available to Rome, Florence, Venice, Sorrento, Lake Como and Lake Maggiore, these bite-sized tours are a great introduction to a city and include accommodation, a half-day sightseeing and services of a local host for recommendations and to smooth out any wrinkles that may occur. Monograms’ worldwide City Getaways are usually offered for four days, but for 2018 the company has introduced flexible two to five-night programs to Rome, Venice and Florence; three of the most popular cities in the world.
“This year we’ve really expanded our offerings beyond the ever-popular Rome-Venice-Florence triangle,” said Stéphanie Bishop of the Globus family of brands’ Canadian office. “We call it ‘Italy off the beaten piazza’ – and have had great fun planning new itineraries that take travellers to every corner of this charming and diverse country.”
