ACV Highlights Ski, Wildlife in New Go Canada Collection
Tour Operator Air Canada Monica Poling February 10, 2017

In case you’ve missed the headlines, 2017 will be a great time to explore Canada. Even for Canadians.
To simplify matters, Air Canada Vacations rolled out its Go Canada collection earlier this year. And now the Canadian tour operator is featuring special deals on its Ski Vacations in the west and its Wildlife Adventures in the east.
Ski Vacation packages, good for three-, five- or seven-night getaways, including all flights, hotels, lift tickets and of course access to some of the most scenic slopes in the world.
A sample itinerary is a three-night package at Fairmont Chateau Whistler, including two-day ski passes and resort transfers. The package starts from $2,129 from Halifax. Or stay three nights at Fairmont Banff Springs, also inclusive of two-day ski passes and transfers. Rates start from $1,879 from Toronto. Calgary residents can book the Sun Peak Grand Hotel in Kamloops for three nights, with two-day ski passes and transfers, starting from $839.
In Eastern Canada, ACV’s Wildlife Adventures include flights, accommodations and wildlife sightseeing tours. One such itinerary includes viewing the Harp Seal Pups in the îles-de-la-Madeleine. Every year, hundreds of thousands of harp seals give birth to their young in Quebec’s Maritime Region at the end of February and early March. Clients will enjoy a helicopter excursion to the ice banks; take a sunset tour and either go snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. The tour departs February 26 and March 11 only, and the booking deadline is February 10.
Through February 28, travel agents can earn 15 per cent commission and 3X ACV&ME points on any Go Canada bookings. In return, clients can save $150 per adult or $100 per child and also receive 3,000 bonus Aeroplan® Miles per booking.
Travel agents should also watch for discount coupons, which ACV has promised to release soon. The coupons will offer clients $150 in savings on Go Canada packages just for booking through a travel agency.
