Busabout And Canadian Agents Help During The Holidays
Impacting Travel Jim Byers December 20, 2018

We all get busy this time of year with presents to buy and meals to organize. Not to mention the everyday tasks with friends and family.
So it’s great to see Canadian companies like Busabout going the extra mile (or kilometer) to help those in need.
As part of Busabout’s commitment to supporting local communities around the world, the team invited its valued travel agents and partners from across the GTA, along with some of The Travel Corporation (TTC) Canada’s staff, to participate in the Too Legit to Knit campaign.
With Toronto’s notoriously cold winters (okay, Winnipeg, you probably have us beat), the Busabout team wanted to offer warmth for the holidays to those in need. What better way than to provide a scarf hand-knit with love?
Busabout provided knitting needles and yarn in its signature orange colour to participants who volunteered their time and knitting skills. With the help and generosity of all contributors, the team was able to donate 65 scarves to Eva’s Phoenix, an organization dedicated to supporting Toronto youth aged 16-24 by providing transitional housing.
They also provide educational support, employment training and independent living skills programming for youth both in residence and in the community as they are working to eradicate youth homelessness.
Thank you Busabout, and thank you agents. That’s what the holidays are all about.
