TravelPulse on Scene: Goldwynn Resort Bahamas
Hotel & Resort Catherine Maisonneuve March 27, 2023

On a recent trip to Nassau, Bahamas, we took the opportunity to visit the island's newest boutique hotel, the Goldwynn Resort.
The Goldwynn officially opened its doors to the public on February 1, and it was barely a month later that we stayed at this boutique hotel, which wants to offer something different from the shadow of the mega resorts of Nassau.
Already a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Goldwynn Resort offers an intimate concept of 81 studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom suites. All studios and suites have full kitchens or kitchenettes, the idea here was to provide an option for longer stays. Each suite also offers a private balcony and many with ocean views. Suites are minimalist, with streamlined decor accented with locally selected artwork, rich textures and a palette of tones reminiscent of the ocean: bright whites, cool blues and metallics to capture the spirit of a Bahamas vacation.

We love its prime location, directly on the beach at Cable Beach, its infinity pool that overlooks the ocean, its turquoise waters that are right there and its private, yet privileged location, a few minutes walk from the Baha mega-resort. Mar where there is a casino, exceptional bars and restaurants and endless entertainment for lively evenings (if you feel like it), but an intimate and relaxed setting on site.
During our visit, breakfast and room service were not yet offered (we were too early) but these are services that will be added in April. The central coffee/cocktail bar is great, we like its menu of specialty coffees, smoothies and pastries for a busy morning, and in the evening, bites and cocktails are served in a lively interior courtyard where customers meet. Otherwise, the on-site restaurant, OIA is very interesting. Magnificent space, the service is up to expectations and the menu is executed with precision and a lot of seriousness. They serve breakfast (soon) and dinner. Otherwise, a menu is served at the pool and in the lounge at all times and, expert opinion: the food is very good there.
The Goldwynn Bahamas at a glance:
-Boutique hotel with 81 studios with kitchenette and balcony
-Infinity pool and beach access
-Two restaurants, two bars
-A 24-hour gym
-A spa
-Room service and valet service
