Sandals Salutes Agents Aboard Lady Sandals in Toronto
Hotel & Resort Sandals Resorts August 13, 2019

Sandals travel agents were celebrated aboard the personal yacht of Chairman Gordon Butch Stewart last night in the Toronto Harbour, part of a series of events to show the company’s appreciation.
For the first time in six years, Lady Sandals was in Toronto where a small group of top selling agents were wined and dined aboard the luxurious yacht, once owned by actor Nicholas Cage.

“It’s one of the things that sets us apart,” says Maureen Barnes-Smith, Director of Sales & Marketing, Unique Vacations tells TravelPulse Canada. “Our Chairman really values our travel agents; who else does this? Who else is going to make their personal private yacht available to us to just to say thank you?”
The next stop for Lady Sandals is Kingston, ON before moving onto similar events in Montreal, Quebec City and ending in Halifax. Then she will go back to the US to the New England Coast, a trip that will end in September.

Having just completed their workshop season, Barnes-Smith says it’s important for agents to get trained to really know their product.
“There are FAMs coming up and we want agents to make sure they are locked into those FAMs; Sandals and Beaches are not a product you can just look at and sell. You have to experience it. When you come on something like this (the yacht), you see the level of our product. There is lots of competition but we are miles away.”

The Sandals team also reminded agents that their Cash Splash incentive, their largest and longest cash incentive is entering the final stretch. There are still multiple, monthly cash prizes available by making a booking direct with Unique Vacations Inc. through September 30, 2019.
Barnes-Smith says part of the success of the company and of their agents is the support given at every step of the way.
“From sales to our corporate office we are in sync and that’s how we work as an organization. From the front line all the way up to the Chairman we are one solid line of support that agents will get and customers are going to get when they go to a Sandals resort.”
