Agents Key to Eden Roc Miami Success

Agents are key to targeting the right markets, especially when it comes to all-inclusive options such as the Eden Roc in Miami, a city where they are relatively non-existent.
TravelPulse Canada recently visited Eden Roc and spoke with Ash Tembe, VP of Sales AIC Hotel Group. Tembe says the decision to offer an all-inclusive in Florida in the first place was part of a strategy to differentiate from other resorts and to offer an experience that is truly unique for guests.
“From staycations to family getaways and romantic escapes, adding an all-inclusive option provides a great added value for those looking to enjoy each aspect of the hotel’s curated offerings and provides a great way for locals to experience both hotels without having to spend a fortune,” says Tembe.
While Canada is a growing market for AIC Hotel Group, there is still a large part who are concerned cost of attending an all-inclusive in Florida, versus packages to southern destinations that include airfare. It’s leading to Eden Roc Miami being preferred by vacationers who are tired of the traditional all-inclusive vacations and want something different.
Eden Roc Miami is definitely different from many other all-inclusive packages. Their onsite restaurant, Malibu Farm, originated in California and is the second outpost of the chain. Lead by Chef Helene Henderson, the menu features locally sourced and healthy, lighter fare that adds to the zen-like atmosphere of the resort.

The hotel is shared with Nobu Tower, which features the renowned restaurant of the same name. The towers share a spa and visitors can roam freely between the hotels, but the all-inclusive does not include dinner at Nobu.
Tembe says they rely heavily on Travel Agents to target the right market as the company knows there are not many tour operators or airlines focused on the all-inclusive in Florida, but it’s something Tembe says they’re working on.
“We are seeing interest in Canadians paying higher rates for our luxury products but there is still a large market of Canadians where price point may be a concern, which is why we are offering alternate packages and options.”
