It’s been 35 years since Canada’s Wonderland opened in Vaughn, Ontario and the theme park is celebrating its landmark anniversary with the opening two new thrill rides this summer season.
Daredevils can take control of their own cockpit on Skyhawk, designed to offer big thrills. Riders showcase their flying abilities like engaging in multiple inversions at 41 metres in the air. Younger pilots can soar up to 8.5 metres high on the new Flying Eagles as they also control their flight and ride experience.
But there’s more than just new rides at the park this year. To celebrate its 35th birthday, Canada's Wonderland has also created its biggest lineup of live shows, special events and street festival entertainment in the history of the park. The street festivals are especially sure to tempt the taste buds this summer. Look for the Taste of Italy and the Brew & BBQ Festival to unfold later this year, both of which are included in the price of admission.
Canada's Wonderland is located in Vaughan, Ontario near Toronto Pearson International Airport. Stretching over 300-acres, the theme park is home to more than 200 attractions. Of the 70 rides, 16 are high-speed rollercoasters. Canada’s Wonderland is also home to Splash Works, a 20-acre water park. The park opens to the public this Sunday, May 1.
