Sandra Moffatt Joins Tourism Ireland's Canada Office

Dublin native Sandra Moffatt has joined the team at Tourism Ireland as the new Trade Promotions and Digital Marketing Executive in Canada.
Sandra’s main focus will involve planning and implementing a targeted program of trade marketing activities with key Canadian travel partners, tour operators and airlines and managing strategic digital communications in order to grow both leisure and Business Tourism travel from Canada to the island of Ireland.
“We are delighted to have Sandra onboard,” said Dana Welch, Manager, Tourism Ireland, Canada. “She has a strong knowledge of destination marketing and the travel industry and brings a wealth of digital communications experience to the role.
“Last year the island of Ireland welcomed a record number of Canadian visitors and we look forward to continued growth as we roll out our year-round marketing program designed to continue this momentum in 2018,” Welch said.
Tourism Ireland is the organisation responsible for promoting the island of Ireland overseas as a leading holiday destination. Tourism is the island of Ireland’s largest indigenous industry; responsible for in excess of 4% of GNP in the Republic of Ireland and employing approximately 281,000 people across the island.
