Reach Global Marketing Snares Two Major Clients
Destination & Tourism Discover Puerto Rico July 02, 2019

Reach Global Marketing LTD has two new shiny feathers in its communications cap.
The Toronto-based company has been selected to represent both Puerto Rico and The Nevada Division of Tourism in the Canadian market.
Discover Puerto Rico, the private, not for-profit enterprise whose mission is to make Puerto Rico visible to the world, has appointed United Kingdom-based travel representation and PR consultancy Hills Balfour, an MMGY Global company, as its international representation agency. Hills Balfour will oversee Discover Puerto Rico’s marketing, trade and PR interests in Canada, Colombia, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom, working together to grow international arrivals.
Hills Balfour will work with Reach Global Marketing to boost Canadian interest in Puerto Rico, a fascinating, wonderful Caribbean destination with awesome beaches, beautiful rainforests and one of America’s most colourful cities, San Juan. It’s also, of course, a huge destination for cruisers.
“Tourism benefits everyone on the Island enormously and we look forward to putting a new emphasis on growing our international arrivals through our expanding global footprint in partnership with Hills Balfour. Puerto Rico is thriving, and we are taking exciting steps to widen our reach, encouraging more international travellers to experience our rich culture, beautiful natural wonders and immense bounty of one-of-a-kind experiences,” said Brad Dean, CEO of Discover Puerto Rico, the Island’s first-ever Destination Marketing Organisation. “With world-class facilities and developing infrastructure projects, including new hotels, restaurants and attractions, alongside an increase in international flight options, there truly has never been a better time to visit Puerto Rico.”
It appears as if folks are already aware of the country’s multiple attractions. According to the Caribbean Tourism Organization, year-to-date tourism revenue is the highest in the Island’s history, with $445 million USD reported through May. The Island has received 1.67 million visitors across the San Juan, Ponce, and Aguadilla airports in the first few months of this year, the highest number of airport arrivals in the January-April timeframe in the Island’s history.

Meanwhile, The Nevada Division of Tourism (Travel Nevada) has selected Reach Global Marketing as their agency of record in Canada. Reach Global will develop and execute communications, sales, and marketing activities across Canada, promoting overnight stays and tourism activities within the State of Nevada.
“Nevada offers many unique experiences that go beyond what Canadians currently expect from the state,” says Charmaine Singh, President & CEO, Reach Global Marketing. “We are excited to inspire Canadians to travel to a state where the options are limitless; with rich landscape and historic ghost towns, family fun theme parks and the Extra-terrestrial highway, natural spa experiences with spectacular hot springs, and the perfect backdrops for recreation enthusiasts.”
With direct flights into Las Vegas from Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton, Nevada is accessible to travellers with a vast network of open roads and breathtaking scenic byways. With six regions to explore, the state is illustrious for its food scene, historic towns, local art, and outdoor adventure with more than two dozen state parks.
“Canada is an essential market to Nevada, and it was imperative to find a representative agency that knows the market, knows the media and trade partners, and has a passion for promoting the great state of Nevada,” said Bethany Drysdale, Chief Communications Officer at Travel Nevada. “We found that in Reach Global Marketing, and we are excited to partner with them to bring the best of Nevada to the Canadian market.”
