Visit Orlando has announced an incredible number of upcoming releases in the most visited destination in the United States, including a new Sesame Street neighborhood that will open at SeaWorld Orlando theme park and the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge attraction that will open in August 2019 at Disney Hollywood Studios, Walt Disney.
Among other things, the destination will add, over the next two years, the largest number of hotel rooms in 20 years, said Visit Orlando President, George Aguel, at the 51st edition of the IPW currently being held in Anaheim, California.

With a total of 132,000 hotel rooms, Orlando will be the second largest destination in the United States in terms of room capacity. Recently opened resorts include Margaritaville, inaugurated last January, The Walt Disney Swan Resort, Universal Orlando Resort's Dockside and Suites, and the Mariott Resort Orlando Resort and Spa, that will start to welcome customers shortly.
A new terminal capable of accommodating up to 12 million passengers and 70,000 flights per year will also be added to Orlando International Airport in 2021. It is Florida's busiest airport and the tenth largest in the country said Mr. Aguel.
With 75 million visitors, Orlando is the most visited destination in the United States and has hosted a record number of international visitors in 2018, an increase of 5.4% over 2017.
During the IPW, Visit Orlando also announced that it will enhance its travel agent learning program (Orlando Travel Academy) to help them better sell the destination. These will include access to new webinars and interactive workshops.
With a new website offering visitors virtual tours of the destination, Visit Orlando wants to attract more repeat visitors and travelers and maintain its status as the most visited place in the United States.
