Kissimmee a Perfect Destination for Large Business Bookings
Destination & Tourism September 27, 2018

Kissimmee has more to offer than just family getaways to Disney. Its status as the ‘vacation home capital of the world’ makes it the perfect destination for corporate retreats and team building trips.
“We offer so much over and above the major theme parks. We have a lot of nature-based activities in our own backyard, so we have spent this week educating the agents on what’s new and exciting in our destination, over and above the large theme parks,” Denise Graham, representative for Experience Kissimmee, said at yesterday’s conference.
Vacation home rentals are a great way to take it up a notch when hosting clients in the US. With properties available ranging from two to fifteen bedrooms, businesses can create a customized experience unlike any other for their clients during retreats.
“You can combine the privacy of the hotel but at the same time enjoy everyone together. These homes do come with service so you have a maid to make the beds, a private chef, and we can customize different experiences for you right in the home,” Fabio Cardoso, CEO of Vacation Homes Collection, explained yesterday.
‘We now have 15 bedroom suite homes that we have designed for groups, not just families, but corporate training and retreats also. There is even a cinema where you can do presentations and large tables where people can work.”
Many of the vacation homes are located on the same grounds as a resort which offers clients further dining options, outdoor activities such as onsite golfing and waterparks, as well as access to other hotel amenities.
When planning a group retreat there is more to think about than just where to stay. Kissimmee also offers plenty of team building activities and attractions to further create corporate comradery. Tree Trek, an adventure park with zip-lining and a suspended rope and obstacle course, comes at varying levels of elevations and challenges. Wild Florida, another adventure park, offers airboat rides, a gator park, and group campfire building exercises. Both parks are great options for team building challenges and are able to accommodate large groups during retreats.
With many new attractions opening this fall at Disney including Star Wars and Toy Story Land (now open), clients with families have an excuse to stay on further after a corporate retreat.
“There is no other market that has more direct flights then Orlando, which is only 25 minutes from Kissimmee,” said Juliana Cadiz, Senior Communications Manager at Experience Kissimmee.
Both Flair Air and Swoop Airlines announced new direct flights starting in October, and Air Canada will introduce additional flight during the winter months, making it is even easier for Canadians to visit.
