Israel Launches New Destination Specialist Program
Destination & Tourism Bruce Parkinson May 10, 2023

As Israel celebrates 75 years of nationhood, the Israel Ministry of Tourism has announced the release of its new Destination Specialist Program for travel professionals.
Now live on the Travel Agent Academy, the program educates travel trade members about Israel as a destination, providing specializations in faith based, multigenerational, heritage, and outdoor/adventure travel.

It also provides travel sellers with sample culinary and cultural tours and itineraries, showcasing the rich diversity of experiences available in Israel, from water adventures and Dead Sea tourism to local cuisine and UNESCO heritage sites. As TravelPulse Canada learned on a visit earlier this year, Israeli tourism has diversified and added significant depth in recent years.
The courses include content for those not familiar with Israel, but the program is also designed to enrich those already selling the destination or who want to learn more about Israel. The destination program also qualifies advisors for up to four (4) continuing education units (CEU) through the Travel Institute.

As the Israel Ministry of Tourism looks to attract more visitors following the COVID-19 pandemic, the Destination Specialist Program is an effective tool for advisors to boost their knowledge about a fascinating destination.
The program joins a brand-new industry-focused website offering information about Israel's regions, its tour guides, tour operators, hotels, specialty topics and much more.
