Victory Cruise Lines is heading south for some winter sun.
Victory Cruise Lines (VCL), a leader in small-ship cruising that's operated by American Queen Steamboat Company, is excited to take its luxury 202-passenger ships south for new American Southeast itineraries in 2020. Guests can save up to $2,000 USD when booking with the Sail On To Victory Wave Season Campaign (through March 2020).
Following the resounding success of VCL’s inaugural season on the Great Lakes, the M/V Victory I is expanding its season to include sailings between Jacksonville, Florida and Freeport, Grand Bahama in 2020. These nine-day cruises through the American Southeast will celebrate the rich history, beautiful architecture and fascinating culture of the region.
Victory Cruise Lines is known for its immersive shore excursions in every port, bringing guests to meet fascinating locals and offering authentic experiences. In addition, VCL guests can enjoy outstanding premium excursions, including:
- Interstellar Exploration Inside Kennedy Space Center: Guests will see life-sized NASA rockets and tour the Space Shuttle Atlantis, topped off with the chance to lunch with an American astronaut at the Kennedy Space Center.
- A Day in America’s Oldest City: A narrated driving tour will take guests through St. Augustine to see the historic architecture, the Basilica of Immaculate Conception and more before a tour of the Lightner Museum, housing artifacts and pieces from America’s Gilded Age.
- Spirits of Savannah: An American Prohibition Experience: With the 100th anniversary of the start of prohibition in 2020, there’s no better time to visit the American Prohibition Museum or visit a speakeasy. Guests will be transported back in time to the roaring 20’s with an exclusive jazz experience and even a tour of a local distillery.
Ports of call include: Jacksonville, FL, Savannah, GA, Charleston, SC, Beaufort, SC, Brunswick, GA, Fernandina Beach, FL, Port Canaveral, FL and Freeport, Grand Bahama.
Fernandina Beach is a charming town on Amelia Island, with lovely art galleries, independent boutiques and the oldest bar in Florida.
