Star Clippers has announced the appointment of Fernanda Sarubbi to the role of Business Development Executive for Canada. Covering all of Canada, she will focus on developing the tall ship cruise line’s individual and group business, incentive and charters.
Sarubbi will report to Star Clippers VP of Sales Terri Haas, and can be reached at fernanda.sarubbi@starclippers.com.
“We are pleased to welcome Fernanda to the Star Clippers team,” said Haas. “Her background in sales and marketing in the tourism and food and wine space are a great match for our brand and we look forward to her helping us continue to grow Star Clippers’ presence in this important cruise market.”
Originally hailing from Brazil, Sarubbi attended school in France and holds a bachelor’s in business administration from Université de Bourgogne in Dijon and a master’s in economics and international tourism development from Université Paris 1 Sorbonne.
She has worked for a destination management company in Paris and a marketing agency in Sao Paulo, where she represented several clients in Latin America countries including Star Clippers. She relocated to Canada in 2021 and most recently worked as a senior project manager at Hopscotch Sopexa communication agency.
For more than 25 years, Star Clippers has been introducing travellers to the thrill of modern tall-ship sailing to remote ports in the Caribbean, Mediterranean, and Central America.
The company operates three of the world’s largest and tallest sailing vessels: Star Clipper and Star Flyer are traditional clipper ships with modern amenities carrying 166 guests each, while the 227-guest Royal Clipper holds the Guinness World Record as the largest and only five-masted, fully-rigged sailing ship in service today.
