Eurail, the internationally known company that helps simplify rail travel throughout Europe with its flexible rail passes, has just announced it is adding Eurostar, the high-speed rail service that links the UK to mainland Europe, to its membership group starting in 2017. The new partnership will allow Eurail Pass holders to enjoy special fares and more access to seat reservations on Eurostar routes.
"Rail is a great way to explore Europe, and our new partnership with Eurail offers Pass holders great value fares, so it's never been easier to use our stylish and comfortable cross-Channel services as part of a European adventure," said Darren Williams, Head of Sales, Eurostar.
Passholders can now add a high-speed journey under the Channel onto their rail itinerary through the new partnership. Travellers using Eurail Global as well as some Select and One Country Pass holders can add Eurostar routes starting from €30 one way in Standard class or €38 in Standard Premier.
The fares will be applicable on routes between London, Ebbsfleet and Ashford International and Paris, Brussels, Lille, Calais and Disneyland Paris.
Eurail Passes have helped simplify European travel for nearly 60 years. Whether travellers have been seeking to depart from Europe’s largest, most-recognized station or travel off the beaten path in rural zones, Eurail has offered flexible pass options that connect together Europe’s rail and transit companies.
In addition to convenience, Eurail Passes offer great savings. Travel can be booked for escapes as short as three days or for longer periods up to three months.
"We have long anticipated this Eurail-Eurostar partnership and know it will be incredibly well-received by Eurail customers," said Silvia Fischer, Eurail Group G.I.E. Sales & Marketing Manager. "Particularly as Eurostar stations are centred on thriving hub destinations, the addition of this new service for Pass holders makes exploring Europe in 2017 all the more attractive."
Eurail Passes can be booked up to 11 months before departure date and can be used to visit up to 28 European countries.
