Wow Air, the airline that’s been making headlines because of its rock-bottom pricing on flights between Europe and North America, is moving up its launch dates in Canada.
Citing “overwhelming demand” the airline, which originally said it would begin flights from Montreal Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport starting May 12, 2016 and from Toronto Pearson International Airport on May 20, 2016, with one-way fares starting from $99, has now said it will commence flights on May 4 and May 11 respectively.
In addition to the new launch date, the airline is also increasing frequency, with flights departing six times a week from Toronto and five times a week from Montreal. Originally, the airline had announced both cities would be served by four flights a week.
All flights will be operated on Airbus A320 and A321 long-range aircraft.
Wow Air has said it plans to serve up to 27 destinations in Europe and North America by the summer, including London, Paris, Berlin, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, Montreal and Toronto.
