The sun and sand of Los Cabos, Mexico will be closer than ever for eastern Ontario residents this winter.
Sunwing will be adding flight services from Ottawa for this coming winter to include a direct flight service to Los Cabos for the first time; departing Thursdays from Dec. 20, 2018 until April 11, 2019. With the addition of this new flight, Ottawa residents can look forward to 11 different flight options to reach their ideal winter escape this year.
Known for its perennially sunny and pleasant climate, Los Cabos boasts numerous opportunities for adventure. Travellers can take advantage of numerous Sunwing Experiences such as snorkelling or scuba diving, or exploring the beautiful coastal landscape on an ATV. Other popular excursions include a sailing tour of Cabo San Lucas Arch, or a visit to San Jose del Cabo; famed for its art scene.
We are delighted to be providing our customers in Ottawa with even more travel options this coming winter,” said President of Tour Operations, Andrew Dawson. “Los Cabos is consistently one of our popular vacation destinations and we’re sure this new service will be well received.”
Sunwing is one of the country’s largest travel providers to the popular Pacific Mexican destination. With the addition of the new service from Ottawa, vacationers can now access Los Cabos from 11 airports coast to coast.
“Like other Canadians, many Ottawa-Gatineau residents enjoy winter breaks to warm destinations” said Mark Laroche, Ottawa International Airport Authority President and CEO. “Sunwing’s addition of Los Cabos, Mexico provides even more choice to the already diverse range of sun spots available from YOW.”
Vacationers that take advantage of this new flight service could be among the first guests to experience the highly-anticipated Riu Palaca Baja California. When it opens in December, the adults only resort will combine a scenic situation overlooking Los Cabos’ coastline, with four ocean-facing infinity pools, five specialty restaurants and a host of premium amenities such as 24-hour room service and free Wi-Fi throughout the resort. What’s more, guests will also enjoy access to facilities at the neighbouring Riu Santa Fe, which benefits from a new Splash Water World water park, weekly themed pool parties and more. Vacationers who book their RIU vacation package with Sunwing also enjoy exclusive RIU®-topia inclusions such as unlimited à la carte dining, spa discounts and in-room liquor dispensers.
Travellers can also look forward to enjoying numerous amenities and inclusions at luxurious all-inclusive resorts such as Paradisus Los Cabos. Situated on a private crescent cove beach, this resort boasts stunning views of the Sea of Cortez and features dedicated services for families and adults, an array of included activities like Yoga and Pilates and an action-packed kids club that also features a kids’ lounge with its own buffet and mini bar. Plus, families and couples alike can enjoy exciting entertainment ranging from tropical parties, to karaoke, magic shows and much more.
