Porter Airlines is bringing back non-stop flights to Florida, complete with commissions for agents.
Flights to Orlando-Melbourne International Airport begin the week of December 19 from Toronto, Ottawa and Windsor. The service operates until April 13, 2019, with flights twice weekly from Toronto, and once per week from Ottawa and Windsor, during peak periods. All three cities will have additional round trip flights during March Break.
Porter Escapes combines flights and accommodations at great package prices, with options to add on attractions for all ages. For more details, visit www.porterescapes.com.
Porter spokesman Brad Cicero told TravelPulse Canada that their normal commission structure they have for their other flights – four per cent on Flexible and Freedom fare classes – is available for agents who book the Florida flights. Porter Escapes vacation packages are also available with an eight per cent commission, he said.
“There is significant demand from Canadians to visit Florida throughout the winter months, and we’re pleased to provide our passengers with service to the sunshine state,” said Robert Deluce, president and CEO of Porter Airlines. “Continuing to offer non-stop service from Toronto, Windsor and Ottawa means that more people can visit Florida directly from their own communities.”
Orlando-Melbourne is located just 20 minutes from Port Canaveral – the world’s second largest cruise port – 30 minutes from Kennedy Space Center and less than 10 minutes from the beach. Popular entertainment, including theme parks, museums, and wildlife attractions, are within an hour’s drive.
You’re also quite close to several cool Florida beach towns, including Cocoa Beach and Vero Beach, where you’ll find everything from casual hotels and a nice Holiday Inn and Suites on the beach to the posh Costa d’Este resort, co-owned by singer Gloria Estefan.
Connecting flights are available via Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport from numerous Porter destinations. For complete schedule and booking details, visit www.flyporter.com.
