Pissed Off: Airliner Bathroom Incident Leads to Ban

A man was arrested at a Florida airport last week after drunkenly peeing all over a plane’s bathroom and becoming belligerent following his removal from the aircraft.
According to the Miami Herald, 58-year-old Dante Bencivenga was preparing to board a Spirit Airlines flight at Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers Thursday night when a gate agent smelled a strong odor of alcohol from the man.
Once onboard, Bencivenga used the bathroom. A short time later, one of the attendants found that he had urinated all over the toilet and the floor of the lavatory, prompting the flight crew to ask the man to disembark from the plane.
As a result, Bencivenga reportedly became belligerent as he left the aircraft, forcing employees to call on Lee County Port Authority Police to assist. Spirit supervisor Stephen Gary Harris was talking to the authorities about the situation when the man interrupted and called the employee a liar.
Police detected an odor of alcohol on Bencivenga and told him he would be booked on a flight the following day. Officers asked the man to leave the concourse, but when he refused, he was arrested and charged with trespassing and disorderly intoxication in a public place.

Bencivenga was transported to Lee County Jail and booked without incident. He has also been banned from Southwest Florida International Airport for one year.
