One Free Checked Bag on Air Transat to Tel Aviv

Air Transat announced today that upon the start of their new service to Tel Aviv, Israel, all economy class passengers will be permitted one free piece of checked baggage up to 30kg in weight, regardless of the fare level booked.
“We’re certain that this announcement will appeal to travellers flying to Israel to visit friends and family for a long holiday,” says Annick Guérard, President and General Manager of Transat Tours Canada. “We’re pleased to offer this distinct advantage to our clients, reinforcing our role as a leader in leisure travel.”
Passengers to or from Tel Aviv who book an Option Plus upgrade will be permitted one additional piece of checked baggage of 30kg, for a total of 60kg, as well as other Option Plus benefits like free seat selection, priority checkin, boarding and baggage handling, and in-flight extras. Club Class travellers are permitted two pieces of checked baggage of 32kg each, for a total of 64kg.
Transat also wants to remind agents that passengers with dietary preferences or restrictions, may pre-order special meals, including kosher and glatt kosher meals, up to 72 hours prior to departure.
Transat will operate twice-weekly seasonal nonstop Montreal-Tel Aviv service from June 18, 2017 through to the end of October, 2017 on Airbus A330-300 aircraft. The flight is also available from Toronto with a connection in Montreal.
