New Times for Porter North Bay Flights
Airlines & Airports Brian Simpson March 29, 2017

Porter Airlines is revising their schedule for flights between North Bay and Toronto, effective May 14, 2017. Weekday flights will depart North Bay at 6:30 AM, arriving at Toronto Billy Bishop at 7:25 AM, with the return flight departing Toronto at 8:45 PM and arriving in North Bay 9:37 PM. This revised schedule allows North Bay business travellers to travel to Toronto, complete a full day of business (or pleasure), and return home the same night.
North Bay travellers can now take advantage of fast, same-plane continuing service to Ottawa through the summer, as well as better connects to other Porter destinations beyond Toronto, including Montreal, Thunder Bay, New York, Chicago and Boston.
"We have been developing this route since Porter first came to North Bay in 2015," said Robert Deluce, president and CEO, Porter Airlines. "People have benefited from much lower competitive airfares since that time, and now more can do so with convenient flight times."
"These flights are a significant benefit for North Bay and the surrounding region," said Al McDonald, mayor of North Bay. "The North Bay Airport Board was able to work with Porter to introduce a new schedule that I believe will appeal to even more business and leisure travellers. I encourage residents to take advantage of this service that gets you right to downtown Toronto at Billy Bishop Airport."
Porter Airlines recently took delivery of another Bombardier Q400 aircraft, bringing the total number of aircraft in their exclusively Q400 fleet to 29.
"The Bombardier Q400 aircraft represents the fine craftsmanship that has been the backbone of the aerospace industry in Canada for many years," said Deluce. "As Bombardier prepares to celebrate its 75th anniversary this year, the Q400 aircraft's performance, environmental credentials and passenger appeal continue representing hallmarks of our customer experience. These attributes have supported Porter's network growth to 23 destinations in more than a decade of operation."
