New Private Plane Business Class Service Between Montreal-Toronto
Airlines & Airports Brian Simpson February 28, 2017

A new executive class option for flights between Montreal and Toronto will take to the skies April 10, 2017. Ufly Corporation acts as the reseller of flights operated by Pascan Aviation and will offer twice-daily service between Montreal’s St. Hubert Airport and Toronto’s Billy Bishop Airport, using private nine-seater Pilatus PC 12 aircraft.
"It has been a couple of years that this project is in our plans," said Julian Roberts, President of Pascan Aviation "The business clientele on the South-Shore and downtown Montreal is increasing its travelling in downtown Toronto…the drive to Pierre-Elliot-Trudeau has become a trip of its own! We will get our clients from the St.Hubert airport to Billy Bishop in the same time it will take them to beat the traffic from the South Shore to Trudeau airport.”
The one-way all-inclusive fare is fixed at $363 each way, including tax, and is only available to Ufly members participating in one of several membership levels available.
"Business travellers are spending too much time in airports waiting," said Brochu. "We want to change this. Our corporate membership format is designed to help business travellers spend more time with clients instead of spending at the airport. We’re offering 20 Ambassador memberships at $1150 per month, which includes two roundtrip flights per month.” Other membership rates start at $30 per month, with Entrepreneur, Small Business and Entreprise levels available.
While not a direct response to the success of Porter Airlines and Air Canada out of Toronto-Billy Bishop, Brochu did state that they had received requests to offer this service. “Certainly Billy Bishop has been made more attractive, and so certainly there is that attractiveness to it but also the convenience of flying out of a smaller airport like St. Hubert.
"All flights offer large, leather seats, priority boarding, access to a VIP lounge at St. Hubert, and free snacks and beverages in a self-service environment. “There’s no Flight Attendant on the nine-seat plane, so passengers simply pick up snacks and drinks in the boarding lounge right before boarding for consumption on board.” said Brochu.
Ufly and Pascan are considering other destinations in their long-term plans, including some U.S. cities out of St. Hubert, but there are limitations to flight times of 75 to 90 minutes with the aircraft.
“We’d like potential clients to know that this is an experience, not just a flight service, where you save not only time but money. You save time...and pain.”, said Brochu with a laugh.
