Airlines & Airports Monica Poling August 11, 2016

Toronto to Niagara Falls in 12 minutes? It sounds like the stuff of urban legend.
Commuters looking to skip the 90-minute (and then some) drive between the two destinations will soon have a new option at their disposal.
Greater Toronto Airways, a company which primarily offers charters services and flightseeing tours out of Billy Bishop Airport has announced that it will start daily flights to the Niagara District Airport in Niagara-on-the-Lake, according to a report at CBC.
The flight, which the company execs are targeting towards commuters, will operate daily, with an 8:30 a.m. departure from Toronto and a 4:30 p.m. return.
According to the company website, Greater Toronto Airways will use an eight-seat Piper Navajo Chieftain aircraft. Rates will start from C$ 85 one way and C$ 159 roundtrip. The flights will commence September 15, 2016.
The company already offers a five-hour flightseeing tour of Toronto and Niagara Falls, including a stop at a local winery, starting from C$ 249.
