Flair Blames ‘Aircraft Delivery Delays’ For Suspension of YQR/YYZ Service

Flair Airlines is blaming “aircraft delivery delays” for the suspension of service between Regina and Toronto.
“We had to suspend YQR due to delayed delivery of aircraft. We had fewer aircraft than expected this summer, forcing us to make a painstaking decision on capacity,” said Eric Tanner, Flair’s Director of Planning and Scheduling.
“We hope to return to YQR in the near future.”
June 11 will be the last date Flair will fly the twice-weekly route.
Flair first flew from Regina in 2020 and previously served Vancouver in addition to Toronto, but seasonal and pandemic demand fluctuations impacted the route.
Justin Reves, Customer Experience Manager at Regina International Airport, says he looks forward to welcoming Flair back to the Queen City when the time is right.
“Whenever the competition for consumers intensifies, we think it’s good. We definitely want to have a Flair in our market,” he said.
