Updated PRTE Course
Become a certified Puerto Rico Expert at ETI-Puerto Rico and earn 15 percent pay

The Puerto Rico Travel Expert Course has been relaunched with a completely new design, along with updated and expanded information. You’ll find it easier to access all the information you need to boost your sales to the “All-Star Island” — and be rewarded for your efforts.
The updated course can be accessed any time at PRTERewards.com, but consider becoming certified, or enhance your education, at the ETI-Puerto Rico, International Tourism Expo, May 13-16, in San Juan. (Register at ETIPuertoRico.com.)
This global tourism event, bringing together attendees and tourism exhibitors from Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, U.S. and around the world, will take place at the Puerto Rico Convention Center in San Juan. The expo is designed to showcase the beauty, sports, nature, adventure and gastronomy experiences available throughout the Caribbean and beyond.
As a special incentive, all travel agents who attend ETI-Puerto Rico will become eligible to earn 15 percent commission from more than 25 participating Puerto Rico hotels and tour operators for a one-year period — from May 16, 2015, through May 16, 2016.
Agent Rates Reduced
Travel agent registration rates for ETI-Puerto Rico have been reduced to $99, and to $79 for Puerto Rico Travel Expert graduates (enter code: PREXPERT). Host hotels are offering rates from $99, and the first night is free.
To receive the free night and discounted rates for Puerto Rico Travel Experts, registration must be completed by April 20. In addition, airline sponsors such as Delta, United and Southwest are offering special travel agent rates. Conference registration includes two days of exploration of the destination, two days at the tradeshow, seminars and workshops, meal functions and receptions.
A Popular Destination
If you are not yet a PRTE, there’s no better time than now to gain your specialist designation. Puerto Rico was named the “Best Island in the Caribbean” and “Best Destination for Weddings” by readers of USA Today and 10Best.com.
The reason is simple. Puerto Rico is a great place to have fun (satisfying a myriad of special interests) and to relax — all this within a short flight that costs, on average, 30 to 50 percent less than flights to any other Caribbean island! And no passport is required for U.S. citizens.
Adding to the excitement, new and enhanced properties (from modest to super luxurious) are opening or being revitalized in every corner of Puerto Rico, suiting the needs of every customer.
Enhanced Course
The enhanced PRTE course features a four-chapter General Course, seven-chapter Master’s Course, Resource Library (including a link to the latest Puerto Rico news and special offers), Booking Rewards platform and direct access to Puerto Rico’s consumer site, SeePuertoRico.com.
All graduates of the Puerto Rico Travel Expert General Course receive immediate access to the course’s companion booking rewards program with cash prizes of up to $2,000. PRTE agents are also eligible for iPad drawings, with just one qualified booking required.
All qualified graduates of the General Course who enter a booking in the rewards program will receive a one-time reward of $25. Active participants in the booking rewards program also receive a one-time reward of $25 for graduation from the Master’s Course.
Make your Caribbean sales easier and more profitable by signing up for the PRTE education program today at www.PRTERewards.com and registering for ETI-Puerto Rico at www.ETIPuertoRico.com.
