Paul Gauguin Cruises

About

Under the expertise of Pacific Beachcomber S.C., comes the luxury cruise liner Paul Gauguin Cruises, specializing in providing a unique onboard experience on its 5+ star m/s Paul Gauguin. Affectionately known as The Gauguin, its world-class voyages beautifully cruise the waterways of Tahiti, the South Pacific, Fiji and French Polynesia with grace, where sophistication is brought to its customers through entertainment and authentic Polynesian activities from a staff dedicated to serve.

Guests are encouraged to enjoy The Gauguin’s topnotch amenities, which also include superb spirits and round-the-clock- room service for 7 to 14 nights at an exceptional value. The Gauguin experience also comes complete with gastronomical treats to fit a king or queen as legendary chefs put their guests’ pallets to the test with imaginative cuisines. With close attention to detail, The Gauguin brings a host of adventures amide the sea from kayaking, windsurfing and paddle boarding to extensive tours through Polynesia’s iconic treasures and culture.

Highlights of the ship include its three dining venues, with dishes and menus overseen by Paris Chef Jean-Pierre Vigato, Chef Propriétaire of the world-renowned, Michelin-rated restaurant Apicius. Another top draw, the Deep Nature Spa by Algotherm offers a wide variety of luxurious treatments; relaxing overwater massages are also available on the line’s private motu (small island) off the coast of Taha’a.

As for activities, The Gauguin presents a series of lectures by onboard guest presenters, and offers themed cruises with speical guests representing a wide variety of interests. In addition, the ship’s small size allows it to navigate shallow lagoons and narrow channels, showcasing breathtaking views of the islands. Guests also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of watersports. From a specially designed retractable platform, they can descend to sea level, where guests can hop aboard a windsurfer, launch a kayak or paddle board, as well as set out for a SCUBA diving expedition (a SCUBA certification program is offered on board). Through the ship’s youth program—Ambassadors of the Environment, affiliated with Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ocean Futures Society—guests ages 9 to 17 can participate in daily excursions that reveal the natural wonders and rich culture of Polynesia, both on land and at sea.

The Gauguin’s informal ambience reflects the relaxed nature of the region. A much-loved troupe known as Les Gauguines—Tahitians who serve as staff, entertainers and storytellers—add a uniquely South Pacific touch to life on board. Guests on The Gauguin’s French Polynesia itineraries also enjoy a visit to Motu Mahana, a private islet off the coast of Taha’a, featuring a sumptuous barbecue feast, full-service bar with coconut drinks, floating lagoon bar, Polynesian activities, and watersports. In Bora Bora, the line provides exclusive access to a beach on a motu off the coast of Bora Bora for guests to swim or snorkel, bask on white sands, engage in a game of volleyball, enjoy light refreshments, and admire picture-postcard views. Best of all, The Gauguin offers an all-inclusive experience, with airfare from Los Angeles, gratuities, 24-hour room service, bottled water, soft drinks, and select wines, beer and spirits all included in the cruise fare. Voyages range from seven to 14 nights, with fares for 7-night itineraries starting at $3,995.

Paul Gauguin Cruises also creates a majestic excursion onboard its second masterpiece, the Tere Moana. Designed to create the ultimate getaway amid the sparkling seas of Europe, the Caribbean and Latin America, The Moana specializes in warm-weather destinations, with an emphasis on delivering unique itineraries that larger ships cannot offer, and exploring hidden ports throughout these regions.  Guests can enjoy oceanview accommodations lapped in luxury, with eight of The Moana’s staterooms that come complete with balconies. Onboard, guests may bask in the tranquility of soothing spa treatments, enjoy gourmet cuisine in two dining venues, unwind with a cocktail at the piano bar or pool bar, escape to the adventures of a book from the library or work out at the fitness center. Also, included in the cruise fare, guests are free to enjoy a selection of soft drinks, select beer and wine, as well as topnotch spirits.

The Moana reflects the high standard of quality and service already established for the cruise line by The Gauguin. All-inclusive fares includes gratuities, soft drinks, bottled water, and select wine and spirits. Voyages range from seven to 14 nights, with fares for 14-night itineraries starting at $2,095 aboard The Moana

In 2014, Paul Gaugin Cruises accolades include being voted #1 Small-Ship Cruise Line” and #1 Small-Ship Cruise Line for Families” in Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Awards.
